Assistance in Recruitment at the Managerial Level for a Large Group Based in East Africa
Background and Challenge
The client, a large group based in East Africa had drawn up a marketing strategy for two of its businesses – textiles and school supplies. However, the lack of adequate staffing in the marketing function was one of the key issues to impact the growth of the organisation. Thus, the client turned to UC to recruit the required personnel for a better growth in the organisation.
Approach and Recommendations
To assist in recruiting the required personnel for the client, UC adopted the following approach:
- Defined the job responsibilities and profiles for all personnel in the marketing organisation
- An advertisement was placed in leading dailies to solicit responses from interested candidates from Mumbai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Pune and Delhi
- Based on the skill set and experience, candidates were shortlisted for the first round of interviews
- Candidates with credentials from a similar environment and industry, along with a proven track record, were shortlisted for further interviews with the top management.
The client’s request for the recruitment of appropriate personnel at the managerial level in its company, was fulfilled.
