Formulating a Post-Acquisition Integration Roadmap for a Global Ports and Terminal Company

Client Challenge

The client, a large global ports and terminal company, sought to expand its logistics and warehousing operations in India by acquiring a leading player in the Indian warehousing and logistics sector. To ensure a smooth integration, the client engaged UC  to evaluate the target company’s organisational structure, HR policies, culture, decision frameworks, and key processes. The goal was to compare these elements with the client’s own practices and develop a comprehensive integration roadmap and plan.

Our Approach

To thoroughly understand the target company and create an effective integration roadmap, UC  adopted the following approach:

  • Engaged with internal client stakeholders to clarify the strategic objectives behind the acquisition.
  • Analysed the target company’s organisational structure.
  • Examined key processes by visiting approximately six facilities and interacting with various departments.
  • Developed a detailed integration plan and an end-state organisational structure for the client.
